The installation of a standby generator consists of attention to many details, requiring knowledge of applicable codes, generator function, proper sizing, appropriate location, proper sizing and installation of gas lines, choice of circuits to back up, choice of and installation of the transfer switch, to name a few.

It is much more convenient, safe and cost-effective to have your generator installed properly in the beginning than it is to have to modify a shoddy installation later. We do see our share of improperly installed generators. It is difficult to have to tell a customer on a service call that their warranty has been voided by an improper installation or that their generator will not be capable of powering a certain circuit they had in mind!
